Buying a snowskate

First, you need to find a dealer.  Check out www.premiersnowsk8.com for a list of dealers and to buy Fortrus and Premier boards from there shop.

Board preference varies from one person the another. If you are starting, buy a board that you feel comfortable on and has medium lenght/width.  I recommend Fortrus by Premier for beginners and Premier snowskates for more advanced snowskaters.

You can check the board reviews section for more information.

Where to snowskate

You can snowskate everywhere if there is snow.  You can go in snowskate parks, snowparks (be sure snowskates are authorized), you can even build your own backyard park. (You can buy ramps at www.universalramps.com)

Riding

First you need to know if you are goofy or regular.  Put your board on the ground, run and jump on it.  If your left foot is behind, you are goofy. If your right foot is behind, you are regular.  Find a hill and practice riding down it.  Try using different feet positions to see whats comfortable or not.  Try turning (Pretty difficult).  Practice makes perfect.
